Remi Newman, MA
Bilingual Spanish Sexuality Educator and Counselor
Remi Newman has spent over twenty years empowering people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures to feel more comfortable as sexual beings. She received her Master of Arts degree in sexuality education from New York University and her Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies from Penn State University.​​​​

Remi is a member of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS) and the American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and has presented at both SSSS and AASECT conferences on the subject of infant and child sexuality.
​
As a new mom she created "Having the talk before they can talk,"a workshop for new and expectant parents to help them feel confident as the primary sexuality educators for their kids.
​Over the years, she has educated social workers, therapists, educators and medical professionals including doctors on how to talk to youth and adults about sexuality.​ As an HIV/AIDS educator she worked with at risk communities providing safer sex education and also worked with people living with HIV/AIDS to help them maintain safe and healthy sex lives. Remi also specializes in educating on issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity.
